Welcome to Operations Engineering
You will be part of the global OT team within the US Operational Engineering group.  Collaborating closely with our global Technology & Security team, you will focus on Ørsted's Americas assets, primarily our US offshore projects. You will tackle both complex and basic engineering challenges within the Group's operational assets. Your responsibilities include managing these assets and providing practical solutions using available tools. You will work with various functions across the business to maintain effective processes and communication across different sites and regions. Additionally, you will visit both onshore and offshore locations to gain hands-on experience and ensure the reliability and security of our assets. You will also be a regional focal point for our global support team.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • implementing both existing and new assets into the global OT organization, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
  • enhancing cybersecurity for all asset sites by proactively addressing immediate and long-term issues and opportunities, while maintaining the integrity of our systems
  • working with internal and external suppliers to resolve issues and implement new functionalities, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation
  • ensuring the integrity of OT systems through preventive maintenance and lifecycle management, thereby extending the lifespan and reliability of our assets
  • addressing and resolving issues with OT systems as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • demonstrate strong SCADA, OT, and IT knowledge, have a curious mindset, and an innovative approach to problem solving
  • are enthusiastic about both physical and online security, and proactively take measures to ensure our workplaces are hazard-free
  • possess excellent communication skills that enable you to achieve results within teams comprising numerous stakeholders, and enjoy working on complex, challenging, and often ambiguous tasks.
  • can work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
