Procurement Qualification Engineer

Join us in this role where you’ll leverage your procurement expertise to support and optimize our supply chain operations across the APAC region. You’ll work closely with supply chain development managers, category managers, and the engineering team across the globe. This role ensures that we reduce dependency on support from Denmark by utilizing local engineering knowledge. Ideal candidates will have experience in heavy industry, particularly in marine-related fields, to contribute to our mission of creating a world that runs entirely on green energy.

You’ll be part of the APAC Procurement team where you, together with your colleagues, will manage diverse procurement activities, foster supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with our sustainability standards. As a team, we thrive on collaboration, innovation, and dedication to excellence.

 

You’ll plan an important role in:

  • Potential vendor evaluation: work closely with the engineering and supply chain departments to analyse and understand our technical requirements, identify and evaluate suitable suppliers that can meet these requirements
  • role involves identification and evaluation of supplier’s technical capabilities, and/or identify what are the aspects of improvement that are needed at a supplier to be able to meet our company's requirements. 
  • Support in the technical development of suppliers. 
  • Need to have a procurement sense and be able to support in a sourcing / evaluation process. 

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Proven experience in dealing with mechanical, electrical, and maritime technical issues
  • Experience in qualifying or developing suppliers in China according to western standards
  • Strong communication skills
