Lead Process Control Specialist - Programming the energy plant of the future
Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible of driving the technical aspects of all engineering phases of the control system in relation to our energy plants. Together with your colleagues you support the operation, construction and optimization of our energy systems. Your tasks include working with specification, design, programming and implementation of DCS solutions, as well as technical project management. As a Team member you will contribute to the continued expansion of green technologies and systems, e.g., through setting the strategy and concepts for technological development.

You’ll be part of Control Systems where you, together with your colleagues, will be a specialist in control systems and process control. We are a team of 12 highly skilled technical specialists, located across Ørsted’s main energy plants or at our office in Skærbæk. We work with control systems (DCS) and process control. We furthermore assist operation to identify performance optimization, and we contribute to implementation of new energy plants and processes. As a team, we cooperate close with our colleagues in the organization and our suppliers. We spare across the department, share solutions and experiences. We value a good work atmosphere, humour and Team spirit.
You’ll play an important role in:
- contributing to improve and increase the energy plants' flexibility, e.g. using improved process control and DCS solutions
- participating in all phases of projects. Engineer/Develop open- and closed loop solutions for various types of processes. Programming, commissioning and optimisation
- leading, cooperating with and managing consulting engineers and suppliers
- integrating new assets in existing power plants
- taking over asset and further optimization of functionality and technical performance.
- providing support and sparring in connection with process control related technical issues.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Control or similar - experience with theoretical simulation of process control is seen as a plus
- have experience with power plant and preferably with specialization in process control, DCS programming or similar
- possess a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
- thrive with both practical and theoretical tasks
- have the ability to create and maintain good relations with your business partners and internal colleagues – language expected to be in Danish which means you yourself need to be fluent in Danish
- must hold a valid drivers license as travel between Ørsted-DK sites must be expected and is part of the tasks in this role.
