Transportation Specialist
Join us in this role where you’ll coordinate end‑to‑end transports and customs flows for Generation activities, supporting major component exchanges and planned maintenance campaigns across Europe. You’ll work closely with operational teams to ensure parts, tools, and heavy components move efficiently, compliantly, and on time to the right harbour, warehouse, or project site.
Welcome to Transportation & Customs
You’ll be part of the Transportation & Customs team where you, together with your colleagues, will support exchange campaigns and operational transport needs across markets. You’ll liaise with warehouses, heavy‑lift teams, planners, and suppliers to secure execution excellence. The team spans several countries, operates with high autonomy, and works closely across functions.
As a team, we collaborate openly, share knowledge actively, and support each other while working independently toward shared results.
You’ll play an important role in:
- coordinating domestic and international transports, including large components and specialised equipment moves
- planning and executing land‑based logistics for heavy‑lift and jack‑up vessel campaigns, ensuring timely inbound and outbound flows between port, warehouse, and site
- preparing and managing transport and customs documentation, ensuring compliance and complete audit trails
- engaging with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to secure reliable transport and clearance processes
- supporting project and operational teams with ad‑hoc and time‑critical transport needs, especially during summer peak periods
- driving continuous improvement in documentation quality, lead times, and supplier performance tracking.
To succeed in the role, you:
- bring some experience in transportation, logistics coordination, or road freight operations
- are highly structured, detail‑oriented, and skilled in tracking multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously
- communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders, giving precise instructions and follow‑up
- act with integrity and reliability when handling commercial documentation and supplier interactions
- are comfortable working with transport documentation, customs flows, and basic procurement principles (quotations, contracted suppliers)
- enjoy working independently while contributing to a diverse, global, and collaborative team environment.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
