HV Technician
Join us in this role where you’ll provide High Voltage Specialist Services under the authorisation of the Orsted electrical safety rules from the turbine interconnection array cables at 66kv up to the 345kv grid connection points. As an asset operator, you will perform and coordinate electrical Operation & Maintenance activities for our Taiwan offshore wind farm transmission assets. This includes ensuring compliance with grid requirements, executing day-to-day operational tasks, and maintaining a safe working environment for all colleagues on site.

You’ll play an important role in:
- maintaining and servicing high-voltage (HV) equipment across offshore and onshore assets
- performing safe HV switching operations on equipment up to 345 kV
- preparing switching programs, safety documentation, and work procedures for complex HV activities
- supervising internal and external engineers/technicians delivering specialist services on wind turbines and substation systems
- supporting team projects, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities to achieve Ørsted’s operational goals
- executing power system operations and maintenance to ensure reliable and compliant asset performance
- ensuring safe operation of plant and equipment in full accordance with electrical safety rules
- strengthening a positive electrical QHSE culture across the organization
- providing HV switching training and authorization to Ørsted personnel.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are proactive, result-oriented, and systematic, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks calmly while maintaining oversight; you also communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin
- are able to live and work in a shift rotation on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV), CTV (Crew Transfer Vessel) and meet Global Wind Organization (GWO) medical requirements for offshore and onshore work
- possess solid knowledge of UHV/HV transmission networks and power systems, supported by an electrical engineering degree and substantial experience in UHV/HV operations and maintenance
- achieve strong results through teamwork and build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.
