Senior Network Engineer

Imagine a future where you secure and evolve the network foundations that keep Ørsted’s critical assets connected

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the operations, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of our enterprise network infrastructure across Taiwan. You’ll work closely with global colleagues, local stakeholders, and vendors to ensure stable, secure, and resilient connectivity for offices, datacenters, and operational environments—including service operation vessels (SOVs).

You’ll be part of our Digital Infrastructure and Operations team, working within the SAFe framework and contributing to a reliable platform that enables Ørsted’s green energy ambitions across the Globe.

Welcome to Digital Infrastructure and Operations

You’ll join the Site Enablement team, where we deploy, operate, and continuously improve Ørsted’s global WAN and LAN solutions using modern SD-WAN and Software-Defined Access (SDA) technologies. We’re a team of network professionals who value strong execution, clear documentation, proactive improvements, and close collaboration—especially in production environments where stability and security are essential.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading operations and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure across Taiwan, ensuring high availability, security, resilience, and operational continuity
  • planning, testing, and executing complex network changes (upgrades, migrations, and transformations) with minimal disruption to critical production environments, including SD-WAN transformation and migration from DMVPN to SD-WAN
  • providing expert-level support and troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, wireless, and datacenter networking, acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents and root-cause analysis
  • delivering hands-on, on-site support for critical locations and assets—including SOV operations, datacenters, and office sites—ensuring rapid issue resolution and business continuity
  • collaborating with global teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure initiatives and improvements
  • strengthening operational excellence by maintaining high-quality network documentation (e.g., standards, diagrams, runbooks), and driving proactive improvements in performance, stability, and reliability through standardization and automation where relevant.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • have proven experience with core networking protocols and technologies, and are well-versed in BGP, OSPF, and Multicast
  • bring strong hands-on expertise in network design, planning, implementation, and troubleshooting, with solid experience deploying and operating Cisco routers, switches, and Cisco management platforms
  • have significant experience in a Cisco-powered enterprise or service provider environment, including Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco SDA, and a strong understanding of networking and network security principles
  • hold a CCNA certification at minimum; CCNP (preferred) or equivalent experience is an advantage. ITIL experience is a plus
  • communicate effectively with stakeholders and teammates, and work well in a distributed, global team setup
  • speak and write English fluently, as English is essential for collaboration across global teams
  • demonstrate cultural awareness and thrive in an international organization.
