Senior Regional Category Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for driving the regional category strategies and leading sourcing assignments in connection with the operation of our offshore windfarms. You’ll be developing and executing the regional category strategies according to our procurement processes and governance in coordination with the global category managers and business stakeholders.

 

Welcome to O&M Procurement
You’ll be part of APAC Operations Procurement where you, together with your colleagues, will support our offshore windfarms to produce power, by ensuring contracting of timely and competitive O&M services capacity. You’ll be working in a global team of highly skilled procurement professionals. An important aspect of your role is to proactively consolidate input from internal stakeholders to negotiate and sign fit to scope contracts ready for the end users’ purposes. In this role you’ll be working closely with colleagues organized in projects or at our operational hubs.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing, maintaining and executing regional category strategies through continuous alignment with the business stakeholders and global category team; and the active management of the local sourcing
  • gathering regional supply chain intelligence, analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape to leverage opportunities and risks into value creation leavers
  • preparing and presenting clear and thought-through strategies and sourcing process gate documents to aim management and budget owners’ decision on recommendations.
  • driving and managing regional supplier performance review in accordance with global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework and supplier segmentation
  • ensuring compliance with internal and external tendering rules, policies, and governance by actively engaging and seeking input from key support functions and contributing to the quality assurance pro
  • being responsible for the end to end tendering process

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have relevant experience with managing sourcing processes from drafting of sourcing strategies to contract signing. Experience with service agreements FIDIC and BIMCO is a plus
  • have experience in negotiating, taking responsibility for planning and executing negotiation process. Experience within wind, offshore or power transmission industries is a plus
  • possess good verbal and written English communication skills enabling you to communicate professionally with key stakeholders, suppliers and business partners
  • have the bandwidth to spot commercial opportunities focusing on bottom-line impact, while achieving the right technical/operational contract solution
  • take ownership, handles pressure well, proactively asks questions, and seeks input beyond your network to get things done
  • are organized, well-structured, and possess good attention to detail, especially when preparing documentation
