Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating all high-voltage switching operations within Offshore Windfarm Baltica 2, located in Ustka. You will act as a Control Engineer according to Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules, overseeing SCADA systems, coordinating and executing switching operations, and managing fault resolution in SCADA and IT systems. 

 

Welcome to HV & Transmission Operations  

You’ll be part of Control Room team. Together with your colleagues, you will be controlling and managing all HV- and LV-electrical operations on site. Advise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and HV submarine cables. As a team, we prioritize safety and collaboration. 

 

You’ll play an important role in: 

  • conducting switching operations as an authorized switch operator in collaboration with the offshore team 
  • interfacing with the national grid operator (PSE) 
  • creating and reviewing switching protocols, including execution permits (PtW), participating in risk assessments for offshore work authorization 
  • monitoring and handling alarms in the SCADA system 
  • instructing external company employees on electrical safety rules 
  • supporting fault finding and resolution, including creating work orders in SAP 
  • contributing to the development of market notifications (REMIT) 
  • improving processes in the Control Room, successfully completing relevant training and education. 

 

To succeed in the role, you: 

  • have a strong safety mindset 
  • hold a professional qualification in electrical engineering or similar (Bachelor, Master, Diploma, or equivalent) 
  • have experience in switching operations in high and/or medium voltage systems 
  • can work both independently and as part of a team, possess excellent communication skills (English and Polish) 
  • have IT user skills (Microsoft Office, cloud applications) 
  • work thoroughly and systematically, even under time pressure 
  • demonstrate high personal and professional reliability.
