Offshore Coordinator

Imagine a future where you contribute to a CO-free, reliable, and affordable electricity supply by playing a key role in enabling safe and efficient offshore operations through effective coordination of people and vessels. 

 

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for offshore coordination activities that support safe access to offshore wind farm assets. You will execute vessel movements based on approved plans and schedules, monitor people and vessel tracking, support emergency response, and ensure operational control under safe systems of work. 

 

Welcome to HV & Transmission Operations  

You’ll be part of the Offshore Coordination team, supporting site management as a key offshore coordination function. Together with your colleagues, you will enable safe and efficient offshore operations by ensuring reliable communication, coordination, and situational awareness at all times. 

 

You’ll play an important role in: 

  • coordinating day-to-day offshore activities, including vessel in line with agreed coordination protocols 
  • tracking offshore personnel, vessels, and communications using approved tracking systems and logs 
  • supporting emergency response activities, responding to radio communications, and escalating incidents when required 
  • managing WTG and transmission asset access restrictions based on planning and scheduling input 
  • ensuring efficient use of vessels, including managing unforeseen changes to daily plans and schedules 
  • operating offshore management systems, including certification checks and passenger list creation 
  • providing weather observations and forecasts, interpreting data to support planning and operational decisions 
  • liaising with port authorities, marine authorities, and other local stakeholders to support offshore operations 
  • issuing notices to mariners and coordinating with local operators where required 
  • reporting operational data in relevant reporting systems and recording agreed operational metrics.

 

To succeed in the role, you: 

  • are IT literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Office and operational IT systems 
  • have strong communication skills and can operate effectively in a high-tempo operational environment 
  • have an awareness of safe systems of work and operational control principles 
  • preferably have experience in marine coordination, offshore operations, or logistics 
  • ideally have experience working in offshore wind, maritime, or related offshore industries 
  • have knowledge of incident response, radio operations, or emergency coordination 
  • are reliable, structured, and able to prioritize multiple ongoing activities 
  • can work effectively as part of a team while maintaining situational awareness and attention to detail.
