Operations Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll lead and support the safe and efficient delivery of operations and maintenance at our offshore wind farm, Baltica 2 in Ustka, Poland. You will focus on fostering a positive health, safety, and environmental culture, while maximising performance and contributing to sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Site to implement key performance indicators, oversee teams of technicians, and deliver continuous improvements to site operations, helping to shape the future of green energy.

 

Welcome to Orsted Operations
You’ll be part of Operations team where you, together with your colleagues, will coordinate daily site activities, manage technician performance, and uphold asset integrity, all within a collaborative and highly skilled environment. Our team is made up of dedicated professionals with expertise in wind turbine operations and maintenance, working alongside the Head of Site, and supporting the development of our technician workforce.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards, acting as a role model for best practices
  • leading and participating in site toolbox talks and technician briefings, ensuring clear understanding of planned tasks and engagement
  • supporting the Head of Site in delivering key performance indicators, including yield optimisation and OPEX reduction
  • overseeing technician workforce development, including performance management, training, and evaluation
  • coordinating improvement initiatives and implement safety campaigns in line with annual plans
  • managing incident response and emergency procedures, ensuring readiness and effective communication
  • collaborating with various stakeholders to effectively plan execution of upcoming work packages.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence, with strong problem-solving skills
  • bring effective communication and collaboration abilities, fostering positive team dynamics
  • have experience in managing and developing teams within an operational environment, or equivalent experience
  • possess an understanding of asset integrity management and the ability to implement strategic initiatives
  • show adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving sector
  • embrace a solution-focused mindset, driving improvements and supporting the growth of others
  • have good command of English and Polish language (both written and spoken).
