Head of Shared Functions - Digital Technology

Imagine a future where you shape how digital enables a global organisation to perform at its best

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the Shared Functions platform within Digital Technology, acting as the key bridge between business functions such as Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, and Digital Technology. You’ll drive delivery of secure, scalable enterprise solutions, shape priorities across the platform, and ensure strong performance, cost efficiency, and stakeholder value in a complex and evolving environment.

Welcome to Digital Technology
You’ll be part of Digital Technology where you, together with your colleagues, will enable Ørsted’s core business through strong digital platforms aligned to key value streams, ensuring reliable operations, clear accountability, and scalable foundations across the organisation.

As a team, we bring clarity, curiosity, and care to complex challenges, and we work together to create solutions that support the wider organisation.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading the Shared Functions platform as a single point of accountability for delivery, performance, and cost efficiency across Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, and other enterprise areas
  • acting as the primary interface between business leadership and Digital Technology, ensuring alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and platform direction
  • overseeing delivery and evolution of enterprise applications, including ERP, HR platforms, and analytical systems, supporting end-to-end business processes
  • shaping and executing the platform roadmap, balancing transformation initiatives such as SAP alongside operational stability and service performance
  • driving simplification, optimisation, and disciplined investment decisions through a unified demand and prioritisation approach
  • building, leading, and motivating teams through organisational change, ensuring strong followership and performance in a high-demand environment.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a strong leadership background from a complex enterprise environment, with the ability to lead through transformation, organisational change, and ambiguity
  • bring proven experience in managing senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisational and business dynamics
  • understand how shared functions such as Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, or similar operate, and how digital platforms enable their performance
  • are able to balance cost efficiency, delivery quality, operational stability, and stakeholder expectations across a broad platform landscape
  • have a solid understanding of digital platforms and enterprise systems, enabling you to engage credibly with technical and product teams
  • communicate clearly, make thoughtful decisions, and create trust, motivation, and direction across teams and stakeholders.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
