OT Cyber Security Engineer

Imagine a future where you help protect critical energy infrastructure by strengthening cyber security capabilities that keep the green energy transition secure and resilient.

Join us in this role where you’ll support the protection of Ørsted’s IT and OT environments by operating and improving cyber security engineering capabilities, with a strong focus on SIEM and OT security. You’ll contribute to the implementation of agreed operational models, support incident response when needed, and help ensure reliable local cyber defence for key assets in Poland

Welcome to Cyber Security
You’ll be part of Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) within the Cyber Security team where you, together with your colleagues, will design, implement, and operate cyber security controls across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. The team works across locations, supporting business‑critical assets and strengthening local resilience through close collaboration and on‑site engagement when required. As a team, we collaborate across borders, support each other during incidents, and share knowledge to continuously improve how we protect Ørsted’s assets in a fast‑changing threat landscape.

You’ll play an important role in:

    • operating and improving SIEM solutions and OT security monitoring capabilities
    • supporting incident response activities, including on‑call or on‑site support when required
    • implementing agreed operational models and security engineering standards for IT and OT
    • working closely with local and global stakeholders to strengthen cyber security resilience
    • supporting vulnerability scanning, detection, and remediation activities
    • contributing to knowledge transfer, readiness exercises, and continuous improvement of local capabilities

To succeed in the role, you:

    • hold a relevant degree in IT, engineering, cyber security, or equivalent experience
    • have experience in cyber security engineering within IT, OT, or combined environments
    • have hands‑on experience with OT security and SIEM Tools
    • understand incident response processes and are willing to support them when needed
    • communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
    • AI awareness with an interest in applying AI to cybersecurity use cases
    • are willing to travel and work onsite when required to support critical assets.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
