SCADA Engineer

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for configuring control systems on power plants while securing data acquisition. You’ll work with various SCADA domain experts across Europe and Malaysia. We’ll support your personal and professional growth by enhancing your capabilities within SCADA communication, networking protocols and AVEVA System Platform.

Welcome to the Software Engineering Competence Centre
You’ll be part of a SCADA team where you, together with your colleagues, will support the global organisation’s internal SCADA users. We build new features, maintain current solutions, and provide 24/7 end-user support. Our two teams are on a growth journey and foster a collaborative, diverse, and dynamic work environment where you’ll learn from the best and get to work on challenging projects.

As a team, we we take full ownership, offer flexibility, and value the opportunity of being onsite at our office minimum two days per week to foster team culture.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing and supporting central SCADA systems in a networked infrastructure based on AVEVA Platform solutions
  • planning, upgrading, installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining central SCADA system servers and their communication interfaces to local site-specific SCADA systems
  • implementation of grid services in the SCADA systems and supporting business applications.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have the ability and interest to set direction and motivate the team
  • are proficient in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • have significant experience with SCADA systems and AVEVA System Platform, previously Wonderware
  • have experience in operating and developing enterprise level (supervisory and control) SCADA systems connecting to remote network with physical layer (field) SCADA systems handled by others
  • are experienced with industrial communication protocols, such as OPC DA, XML and UA, IEC 104, and Modbus
  • have experience with MS SQL Server administration, SQL query, and MS Windows Server administration.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
