Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Imagine a future where you shape and scale cloud infrastructure that empowers data‑driven decisions across the entire organisation.

Join us in this role where you'll design, build, and evolve secure and scalable AWS infrastructure supporting Ørsted’s enterprise‑wide data warehousing solutions. You’ll work with high levels of autonomy, combining DevOps engineering, infrastructure design, and hands‑on system optimisation. You’ll collaborate closely with internal customers, helping them use the platform effectively while ensuring operational excellence.

Welcome to Data Warehouse team
You’ll be part of the Data Warehouse team where you, together with your colleagues, will develop and operate cloud infrastructure for data warehousing and data platforms, support scaling from a few accounts to dozens, and work across AWS‑based environments. You’ll collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and external consultants to deliver a stable and reliable platform for business‑critical data.

As a team, we support one another, value open communication, and take pride in providing trusted expertise to our stakeholders.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • designing and building AWS infrastructure for multi‑account environments

  • implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform

  • setting up and maintaining observability across multiple AWS accounts

  • collaborating with internal customers to understand needs and advise on best practices

  • improving automation, deployment processes, and DevOps workflows

  • supporting daily operational duties, including monitoring, incident handling, and system optimisation

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong DevOps expertise in AWS and multi‑account cloud environments
  • have experience with infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform
  • understand or have worked with observability tooling and can design monitoring across accounts
  • can design cloud solutions at scale and approach problems with a solution‑oriented mindset
  • communicate clearly and enjoy working directly with internal customers as a trusted advisor
  • have experience with technologies such as AWS services, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Python, networking fundamentals, and service catalog, or equivalent experience

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
