You’ll be responsible for designing, automating, and packaging AWS capabilities into reusable, compliant, and secure products that empower developers across Ørsted. You’ll work with enthusiastic people with a global mindset and enjoy an innovative environment where challenging and interesting work with purpose is part of daily life. As a team, we work in an environment which values collaboration and teamwork, which are essential elements in our learning and personal development. • Designing opinionated solutions with built-in guardrails, balancing flexibility with security and standardization.

  • Enabling self-service through automation, using Infrastructure as Code to deliver repeatable and reliable services.

  • Embedding security and governance by design, including IAM, encryption, tagging, monitoring, and baseline controls.

  • Improving developer experience through clear onboarding guides, reusable templates, and practical enablement materials.

  • Ensuring operational readiness (Day-2) by including monitoring, backup, restore, and cost optimization as part of the product design.

  • Working closely with product owners, architects, and application teams to align platform capabilities with business needs and support onboarding and migrations.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Have strong hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services, including working in multi-account environments with governance and networking.

  • Have proven experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, with good engineering practices (versioning, code reviews, testing, standards)

  • Have experience building reusable modules and platform products, not just one-off infrastructure.

  • Have experience implementing guardrails and controls (e.g. SCPs, IAM patterns, baseline configurations)

  • Have experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch)

  • Have experience with AWS Control Tower or AFT and enforcing organization-level standards.

  • Have understanding of platform engineering practices, including reusability, standardization, and enabling multiple teams.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience building or contributing to an internal developer platform.

  • Strong focus on developer experience and self-service design.

  • Ability to think beyond infrastructure and design reusable, scalable platform capabilities.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
