Senior Full Stack Developer

Join us in this role where you’ll ensure that the development of compute and storage cloud platform supporting effective and reliable execution of critical engineering design workflows. By working closely with teams in Ørsted engineering, Software Engineering Competency Centre and Architects you will ensure delivery of fit for purpose and reliable cloud software platform.

 

Welcome to Software Engineering Competency Centre
You’ll be part of our IT Competency Centre where you, together with your colleagues from different areas incl. product owners, scrum masters, application architects, and testers, will develop custom applications to support wind farm operations. You’ll also contribute to solving the unique challenges involved in building a sustainable energy company, with diverse operations around the globe. As a team, we are global and diverse IT department, counting more than 500 skilled and highly dedicated professionals.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • ensuring continuous development and improvement of our HPC (High Performance Compute) platform in Microsoft Azure
  • collaborating with engineering teams who are at the core of our business and use the platform you would be developing for designing our offshore wind farms
  • ensuring the implementation of technology that is secure, reliable, maintainable, scalable, usable, and high performing through collaboration with all IT stakeholders
  • adhering to our OT and IT Security standards to plan and design the appropriate architecture.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • possess strong communication skills to effectively convey technology capabilities to engineers and developers, while managing stakeholder relationships
  • have extensive programming experience in strongly typed languages such as C#/.NET and Java, with some experience or a willingness to develop in Python
  • demonstrate a willingness to develop expertise in architectural topics
  • have extensive experience with Azure, Terraform, Kafka, microservice architecture in Kubernetes (K8S), and API development
  • are proficient in orchestrating with SAFe principles and fostering good collaboration with colleagues globally.
