Senior Technology Consultant

Join us in this role where you’ll play an important part in handling Operations & Maintenance in an Agile environment by resolving incidents, managing requests, performing patch management, and ensuring deadlines are met.

 

Welcome to Infrastructure Competence Centre
You’ll be part of IT Infrastructure team where you, together with your colleagues, will address and remediate issues raised during vulnerability or security scans, as well as identify and report on governance violations. You will ensure continuous improvement in server hardening and baselining practices to maintain high security and compliance standards.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • Handling Operations & Maintenance in an Agile environment by resolving incidents, managing requests, performing patch management, and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Supporting and setting up server environments, including security configuration, backups, and monitoring as per existing policies and standards
  • Addressing and remediating issues raised during vulnerability or security scans, as well as identifying and reporting on governance violations
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in server hardening and baselining practices to maintain high security and compliance standards
  • Participating in rotational weekly duties, focusing on operational incident and request management to ensure continuous support and availability.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have extensive experience with Windows Server environments, including maintaining and supporting advanced systems and associated hardware
  • are proficient with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible) to streamline and enhance operational efficiency
  • have significant experience with HP hardware, VMware, and multi-cloud platforms in Azure and AWS, including setup, management, and troubleshooting
  • understand network and security concepts, with a thorough understanding of secure server environments (e.g., Purdue model, firewall)
  • have comprehensive understanding of lifecycle management, patch, and vulnerability management, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure
  • have extensive experience in server hardening and baselining, ensuring systems adhere to best practices and security standards.
